DAMSKO UNDERDOGS VOL III
Your favourite place to discover new music is back, this time featuring three awesome acts!
Nunq plays fresh instrumental tunes with a lot of room for improvisation. They combine exquisite musicianship with live electronics and cutting edge technology.
The result is multi-faceted, extraordinary music that knows a spectrum from subtle chamber music to energetic grooves. Dynamic, lyrical, percussive and always with humor.
Nunq is Timon Kooten (guitar) and Joint Duyx (guitar & compositions)
Molino is an Amsterdam-based wind band with electronics and vocals. It’s a sheer tour de force of odd grooves, folklore, avant-garde and jazz influences that converge in an imaginative style, allegedly belonging to the faraway land of Elsewhere. The reconfigured usage of this uncommon setting draws out tensions between structure and improvisation, storytelling and experimentation, the authentic and the unknown. Molino had the chance to showcase themselves at the SoWhatsNext Festival, Eindhoven and just released a brand new video clip to their single „Stupid Things“.
Jerboah is a group of musical explorers determined to share the bliss and boundlessness of complex and idiosyncratic music. With their interest in the most various styles of music and their unique line up (vocals, electric guitar, drums, synth and three recorders) they create a style of music that is only describable by combining multiple genre terms. A mix of Art Rock, Post Pop and World Beat is what seems to come closest.
in february 2016, Jerboah was selected as the winner of the Grachtenfestival Pitch. The Jury described the band as unique and avant-garde. In 2017 Jerboah will drop a fresh online release every month and is also working on a cosmic première together with „Het Nieuw Ensemble“.
